Busoga Diocese is involved in several activities that are aimed at improving livelihood and development in communities.

The Bugayi Youth and Women Livelihood programme: Projects targets 300 households and has so far been involved in equipping Livelihood skills to 40 youth and women. These include the community has been equipped with (Good farming practices i.e. Foundations for farming), Small enterprise Development, Voluntary Savings and loan Associations, Good Environmental practices( Making of energy saving stoves, planting of trees for domestic use and sale and agro forestry, Food and nutrition, Water and sanitation

Revamping of Busoga Institute for Rural Development(BIRD) as new center for Lay readers training and center for training the community in livelihood skills
